Who Owns You?

Calculating the cost of cool.

Essential Question:

The goal of “The Cost of Cool” is for students to use math to analysis and understand the difference in cost of the “ Must Have” items and the “Good enough/I can get by” items.  The students will chose their own style and calculate the cost of getting the best of everything in that style.  They will then go in search of how they can get a comparable style through bargain shopping.  They will then analysis the difference of cost using fractions and percentages.

Deliverables

Presentation of results including:

Timeline

Benchmark: item list and prices to be brought on Monday.

Note: If you miss this deadline you will be writing an essay as your project.

Grading Criteria

The varying weights for the following criteria will determine their overall score.
