Drawing Workshop

One of the major assignments we did during art was the drawing workshop. The drawing workshop took place over a couple of weeks and we did multiple observational and model drawings. My first model drawing was never finished because I tried to be really detailed and spent too much time on something that didn’t really matter such as the shoes. Next, we did gesture drawings where we used a piece of charcoal, which you can’t be very detailed with, and got the full shape of a person in motion. Then we did a contour line drawing where we had to draw a hydrangea without picking up our pencil. By the last model drawing I was able to focus more on the model’s shape and fill in the detail by the end and was also able to finish in the time given.
